CHICKEN CHILI RECIPE - GRAVY RECIPE / RESTAURANT STYLE CHILLI CHICKEN RECIPE

Sure....this recipe of chicken chilli is worthy of your immediate attention.  The ingredients used for the preparation of this luscious chicken chili are easily available. The fine aroma of this chili makes one mouthwatering. Mostly it is prepared with boneless chicken but some recommend to use boned chicken too. OK...Lets move on to the easy restaurant style recipe for Chilli chicken gravy with boned chicken. Do try this inviting drooling taste and hope you loved this easy gravy recipe...





INGREDIENTS

FOR CHICKEN MARINATION

Chicken                       - 500 g, cut into small pieces
All purpose flour         - 4 tbsp
Cornflour                    - 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste     - 1 tsp + 1 tsp chopped
Soy sauce                    - 1 tbsp
Vinegar                       - 1 tsp
White pepper powder - a pinch, optional (instead of ajinamotto)
Salt

FOR GRAVY

Onion                           - 2 medium sized, (chopped)
Green chili                   - 4 nos     
Capsicum / bell pepper- 1, big, chopped
Ginger garlic paste      -  1 tbsp
Dark soy sauce             -  2 tbsp
Green chili sauce          - 2 tbsp, u can also use red chili sauce
Tomato sauce                - 4 tbsp
Cornflour                       - 1 tbsp mixed in half a cup of water
Sugar                              - 1 tsp
Vinegar                           - 1 tbsp
Salt
Spring onion 
Cilantro
Oil 

PREPARATION

  • Clean the chicken  and cut into small pieces. You can use boneless pieces (if then, cut them into bite size pieces). Combine well all the ingredients under marinade  and marinate the chicken pieces with  this mixture. Make a thick batter ( not too thick nor too thin).
  • Set aside for 15 minutes and then deep fry them in small batches.
  • When done, set aside the fried chicken pieces in a paper towel.
  • Now heat oil in a deep bottomed pan and saute onion, green chili, ginger garlic paste, chopped ginger garlic.
  • Saute them for few minutes over high flame.
  • Now add the sauces..add soy sauce and mix well. Then add green chili sauce, tomato sauce along with sugar and salt. Mix well over medium flame for few minutes.
  • Now add the fried chicken pieces, chopped bell peppers and saute over a medium high flame until it is well coated  and the gravy thickens.
  • Then add cornflour (mixed in half a  cup of water) to it and let it sim for few minutes. Do not boil. Mix well and garnish with spring onion or cilantro. 
  • Serve hot with fried rice.
