FISH RECIPES - RESTAURANT STYLE SPICY FISH CURRYY




INGREDIENTS


Fish                             -mackerel(4 nos)

Onion                          -4 nos
Tomato                        -3 nos
Ginger garlic paste    -2 tbsp
Green chilly                -3 nos
Turmeric powder       -1 tsp
Coriander powder      -2 tbsp
Kashmiri chilly powder-4 tsp (but i added only 2 tsp)
Fenugreek (uluva)         -1 tsp
Salt
Curry leaves 
Coriander leaves
Oil

PREPARATION



  • Heat oil in a non stick vessel or any deep bottomed vessel.
  • Add sliced green chilies to it.  Saute for a while and add sliced onion.
  • Saute till the onion turns brown.
  • Then  add  ginger garlic paste.  Saute for few seconds .
  • Crush the sliced tomatoes with hand very well in a bowl and add this with onion and mix well .Close the lid . Let it cook for few minutes.
  • And then  add turmeric powder, coriander powder, kashmiri chilly powder, and salt to this mixture. Mix well .
  • Add 1 cup of water  and cook for  5 minutes.
  • When it starts to boil,  put the cleaned fish to it and again cook for another 5 minutes in a low flame.
  • In another pan heat some oil and splutter fenugreek (uluva). Add sliced small onion and when done pour this on the top of fish curry.
  • Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
