Cherupayar Thoran ( nostalgic taste)

Cherupayar (green gram) -half cup (keep in water for few hours)
Grated coconut                 -3 tbsp
Coconut oil
Curry leaves
(Donot splutter mustard )


  • In a pressure cooker , cook green gram with water which cover the gram until two  whistles.
  • Open  the lid and add salt .
  • Now take a fry pan and pour the cooked green to it and saute well.
  • Then mix it with the grated coconut well and pour coconut oil over it.
  • Garnish with curry leaves.
